This recipe is so easy to make and yet it never fails to produce delicious scones. 

 

2 cups cake flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

A quarter of a cup of cooking oil

1 egg

Milk

Fresh cream

Strawberry jam

 

Pour a quarter of cooking oil into a 250ml cup.

 

Place the egg into the oil.

 

Top the cup to the brim with milk.

 

Pour the mixture into a bowl and beat.

 

Add the flour and baking powder.

 

Knead the dough until smooth.

 

Roll the dough out and cut into rounds (I use a tea cup to make the rounds).

 

Bake at 200 degrees C for ten minutes only.

 

Serve with strawberry jam and whipped cream.

 

This is an excellent recipe for children to make as it is so simple.
